1.0       ND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1.1       SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDIES

 A prospective applicant must possess WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level with Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects as stipulated below:

A. Accountancy

 Applicants must possess:

English Language and Mathematics
Any three (3) of Economics, Accounting/Book-Keeping, Geography, Commerce, ICT/Data Processing/Computer, Government/Civic Education, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/ Chemistry/Physics.
B. Banking & Finance

English Language and Mathematics
Any three (3) of Economics, Accounting/Book-Keeping, Geography, Commerce, Insurance, Government/Civic Education, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/Chemistry/Physics/ICT/Data Processing/Computer
 C. Business Administration and Management

English Language and Mathematics
Any three (3) of Economics, Accounting/Book-Keeping, Geography, Commerce, Government/Civic Education, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/ Chemistry/Physics/ICT/Data Processing/Computer

A. Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

Mathematics, English Language and Physics and Chemistry
Plus any one (1) of Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics, ICT, Data Processing, Computer, Statistics,

B. Agricultural Technology

Mathematics, English,Chemistry and one (1) of Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry
Plus any one (1) of Physics, Economics, Geography, ICT, Data Processing, Computer, Statistics, Food & Nutrition.

C         Civil Engineering

Mathematics and English Language, Physics and Chemistry
Plus any one (1) of Technical Drawing, Building Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics, Data Processing, ICT, Computer, Statistics, Civic Education, Geography, Building Construction, Block Laying, Decoration, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Carpentry and Joinery, Woodwork.
However, candidates with NABTEB O’Level results must have a credit pass in a related Trade Subject in addition to the Credit passes in five (5) O’Level subject requirements.

D. Electrical/ElectronicEngineering

Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry
Plus any one (1) of Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Radio/Television and Electrical Works, Appliances Maintenance & Repairs, Instrument Mechanics, Building Drawing, Basic Electronics/Electricity, ICT, Data Processing, Computer
However, candidates with NABTEB O’Level results must have a credit pass in a related Trade Subject in addition to the Credit passes in five (5) O’Level subject requirements.

E. Mechanical Engineering

Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry
plus any one (1) of Biology, Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry, Further Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Building Drawing, Technical Drawing, Metal work, Auto Mechanics, ICT, Data Processing, Computer
Note:  The NABTEB must be relevant to Mechanical Engineering.

However, candidates with NABTEB O’Level results must have a credit pass in a related Trade Subject in addition to the Credit passes in five (5) O’Level subject requirements.

F. Minerals and Petroleum Resources Engineering Technology

Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry.
Plus any one (1) of Economics, Geography, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Biology, Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry, Building Drawing.

1.3       SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

A prospective applicant must possess WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level with Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects as stipulated below:

A. Building Technology

Mathematics, English Language, Physics/Chemistry
Plus any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing/Fine Arts/Building Drawing/Building Construction/Block Laying/Woodwork/Carpentry & Joinery/Painting/Decoration/ Plumbing and Pipe Fitting. Commerce/Government/Economics Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry, Geography, Further Mathematics.
B. Estate Management and Valuation

English, Mathematics and Economics
Any one basic Science subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture Science, Animal Husbandry, Health Science
One other subject from Geography, Accounting, Literature-in-English, Government, Civic Education, Technical Drawing Book-Keeping, Insurance, Woodwork, Carpentry & Joinery, Building Drawing, ICT, Data Processing, Computer, Fine Art, Animal Husbandry, Agric Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Health Science.
C. Quantity Surveying

Mathematics, English Language and Physics
Plus any two (2) of Geography, Economics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry, Government/Civic Education, Further Mathematics, ICT/Data Processing/Computer, Book Keeping/Accounting, Carpentry & Joinery/Woodwork/Fine Art/Technical Drawing/Building Drawing.

1.4       SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND COMPUTER STUDIES

A. Computer Science

English Language, Mathematics and Physics
Any two (2) of Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/Food and Nutrition, Geography/Economics/Commerce, Data Processing/Computer/ICT.
B. Food Technology

English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Plus any one (1) of Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Animal Husbandry.
C. Statistics

English Language and Mathematics
At least one (1) Basic Science subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry.
Plus any two (2) of Geography, Government/Civic Education, Economics/Commerce, Further Mathematics, ICT/Data Processing/Computer, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science/Animal Husbandry.
D. Science Technology

English Language and Mathematics
Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) of Biology/Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry

2.0       METHOD OF APPLICATION

INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES

Candidates seeking for admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti are required to complete the institution’s application form available on-line at www.fedpolyado.edu.ng  with effect from the day of publication.

3.0 ADMISSION FORM GUIDELINES

  • Candidates should visit the polytechnic website fedpolyado.edu.ng to generate and print ND PART-TIME application form invoice.
  • Upon printing of invoice, Candidates can proceed to any bank of their choice along side with the invoice generated and make payment of twelve thousand five hundred naira (N12,500.00) only (administrative charges inclusive) on the Remita platform.
  • Candidates can also make payment with their debit card (Master Card, Visa Card and Verve Card) following the instructions on the invoice generation page.
  • After payment, Candidates should revisit the School Portal and fill their application form using the RRR number on the payment invoice (slip).
  • Candidates should endeavour to print the copies of the application form and the acknowledgement slip after filling the form.


4.0 SUBMISSION OF FORMS

Candidates are to please note that:

the application for admission will close on Monday 17thSeptember, 2018.
the Polytechnic is not bound to process the application forms of candidates whose forms are not properly completed and received after the closing date.
