What is the TVET Initiative?

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative is a flagship program of the Federal Ministry of Education designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

Through partnerships with certified training centers across the country, the initiative offers tuition-free training, monthly stipends, and start-up support for selected trades in high-demand sectors.

As part of this TVET program,  a cinematography training is being offered in collaboration with Digital Dreams for individuals who are interested in film and video production.

The training is open to beginners and aspiring creatives. No prior experience is required, only interest, commitment, and willingness to learn.

Participants will receive hands-on training in camera handling, video shooting, basic lighting, and storytelling for film and digital content.

Requirements for the Training

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens
• Be 18 years and above (not more than 35 years) 
• Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) 
• Have a Bank Verification Number (BVN) (Name on NIN and BVN must match)
• Have a commercial bank account with BVN (FinTech/Microfinance banks are not accepted)
• Have a valid email address 
• Have an active mobile phone number 
• Possess a minimum of Basic Education / First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) (Non-formal education certificates are also accepted)
