Notice to Applicants With Pending Status on NPC Adhoc Recruitment Portal

;

With the training exercise of ad-hoc staff (Enumerators and Supervisors) a few hours to commence, a lot of applicants with 'pending' status are wondering what their fate would be - will they be allowed to come for the training exercise or not?

Well, this article is meant to give you an insight on what your choices are and how you should go about them i.e. if you status is still pending.

It's no longer news that the National Population Commission (NPC) has postponed the training commencement date for Supervisors and Enumerators, but even before the training exercise commences, candidates would have to come for accreditation on an announced date.

Now the question is: Will candidates with pending status be allowed for training? To answer this question, applicants with pending status are first to check if they would be accredited on said date, this is because the commission has made it known that the ICT section has temporarily stopped approving applications due to the upcoming training day.

They expect and anticipate that not all the approved applicants will show up for training, hence applicants with pending status would be used to replace such candidates.

In fact, currently as the Commission has started releasing list of approved candidates of each state, it has come to our notice that a lot of candidates who saw 'approved' on the recruitment portal are not finding their names on the list released by the commission, and in the other hand, some candidates whose status are pending, are seeing their names.

Such applicants are advised to attend the accreditation exercise. The main objective of the physical accreditation is to ensure that it is only those presently available and ready to work are to be engaged. After which such candidates are also advised to go to the nearest training center to participate in the training exercise.

Recommended:

In summary, no matter your application status is - whether you are pending, or you are approved and your name is not on the list released by the commission, or you are approved and your name is on the list. You are all to present yourselves during the accreditation exercise as that will notify the commission of your availability for the exercise.

    1. I doubt you stand a chance, but you should give it a try. On the day of accreditation and during the training, go and make enquiries, so you get first hand information.

  2. Please is it possible to go to a different LGA from the one I choose during registration? Because I need a change of LGA

    1. Look candidates by this time have already been divided into various classes in different trainnig centres in various LGAs. So for the training, you will have to locate your training centre and know your class. They will tell you this during the accreditation exercise. If you want to change you should ask them (although I doubt its possible at this point) during the accreditation exercise on 12th April, 2023, but don't attempt doing it on your own. You may just miss out on everything.

    1. I'll advise you give it a try as not all approved candidates will come for the accreditation and training. The commission will be left with no choice than to replace those absent applicants with the pending available ones. The accreditation is all about your availability. Make it a date.

    1. Hi, if I understand you well enough, you meant whenenver you input your NIN while checking your status your details do pop out? If correct, your name and details will also come out with your NPC-CE ID, that should be your correct ID. If you can explain in details on how to check your status and you see another candidate's details, I may be able to help you better. As for your pending status, read through the article above, it will direct you on what you should do.

    1. The training date has been rescheduled. Training now commences on 13th April, but before then, there'll be an accreditation exercise on 12th April. So you are to report to the LGA secretariat or NPC office in your LGA to do that whether or not you receive a message or not (P.S: Not everyone would be able to receive a text message.

    1. Follow the steps above, when you get to form preview you'll see the position you applied for. For the pending situation, you're advise to proceed for accreditation and training when it commences, as the commission hopes to use such candidates as substitute for approved candidates that will not show up for the training.

  10. Morning sir,I want to make an enquiry concerning NPC training. For those that are still pending. Can they attend the training anywhere closer to them even if it's not in the local government they choose during registration. Thanks. Looking forward for your reply.

    1. Good day to you too. It is advisable you attend the training. The commission has made it known that only candidates who participate in the training exercise will be used as functionaries for the exercise, and it's quite obvious that not all approved candidates will come for the screening exercise. So the commission will have to enroll the pending candidates available in their place.

    1. Facilitators have been selected already, but I'll advise you go for the training of supervisors and enumerators because the commission have made it known that only candidates available will be used for the exercise, so you may be lucky to get a spot as a supervisor or enumerator, if you so desire.
