The Osaka University Engineering Scholarship is supported by the MEXT program of the Japanese Government to cover tuition, monthly stipend, and support for international research and collaboration with Japanese academia, industries, and government.

Eligibility for MEXT Scholarship at Osaka University 

Undergraduate Applicants:

1. Must belong to a country with diplomatic relations with Japan
2. Must pass the entrance exam for eligible Osaka University programs.
3. Embassy Recommendation students must first complete a one-year Japanese language course.

1. Must hold a relevant bachelor’s/master’s degree before arriving
2. Must pass screening by Japanese embassies or consulates in their home country
