Are you a female engineer in Nigeria looking for funding to carry out projects and drive innovations?

If this is you, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in partnership with the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) is offering funding for female engineers under the DELT-Her initiative.

About the DELT-Her Initiative Funding for Female Engineers

Developing Engineering Leaders Through Her (DELT-Her) is an initiative that seeks to create opportunities for women in engineering, by attracting and supporting innovative engineering ideas which would ultimately be mentored and developed into startup companies. 

The success stories from the first phase of this initiative would be projected to enthuse school-age girls across the country, with the aim of creating a paradigm shift to favor their choice of engineering as a lifelong career.

DELT-Her is inspired by global projects from the Anita Borg Institute, Girl Up! at the UN Foundation, Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia among others.

Eligibility

• Applications are welcomed from Nigerian women with engineering ideas who hold at least a bachelor's degree, or its equivalent.
• Lead applicants shall be female Nigerians who have attained a minimum of first degree, and have innovative engineering ideas.
• The initiative targets young females aged 23 to 45 years who have developed a proposal on innovative ideas in engineering and have set up a team for the implementation of the ideas. Each team shall however be constituted of at least 60% female participants, to qualify for funding under this initiative.
