About Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals 

Dangote Petroleum Refinery is one of the largest single-train refineries in the world, located in Lekki, Lagos. As part of the Dangote Group, it aims to meet Nigeria’s domestic fuel needs, reduce reliance on imports, and position the country as a major player in the global energy sector. The Graduate Trainee Programme offers participants the chance to learn and grow in a global business environment while contributing to the growth of Africa’s largest refinery and petrochemical complex. 

About the 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme 

The 18-month programme is designed for high-potential, vibrant, and enthusiastic graduates. Trainees will be exposed to various functions of refinery operations, gaining practical hands-on experience from highly skilled professionals. You will develop critical skills, expand your knowledge, and make a real impact in the oil and gas industry.

Requirements / Eligibility Criteria 

Technical Roles: First Degree/Higher Diploma in Chemical, Production, Mining Engineering; Geological Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Biochemistry.

Technical Support Roles: First Degree/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Power Engineering disciplines.

Support Roles: Degree or Diploma in Accounting & Finance, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration, Law, or Information Technology.

General Requirements: 

• Minimum of Second Class Lower / HND Upper Credit.
• Must not be above 28 years by May 31, 2026.
• Candidates should be initiative-takers ready to work in a dynamic environment.
