About the Challenge:

Welcome to the Sustain-a-Pitch Challenge, presented by The Pitch 3.0!

This competition is a battleground for Nigerian undergraduates, where they will compete in teams to provide pragmatic and scalable solutions to aid financial actors in deploying capital to maximize impact in developing nations of Africa. The competition is a call to action, aimed at inspiring competitors to generate solutions that will tackle the current climate crises, and help financial actors implement change that is truly impactful.

As a competitor, you hold the power to create a framework that will either guide public actors such as policymakers and regulators towards sustainable investments or create a blueprint for private actors like investment banks, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and asset managers to invest in climate-linked securities and sustainable firms.

The clock is ticking, so put on your thinking caps and bring your A-game! We are excited to see the innovative ideas and thoughtful recommendations you will present to us. So, let the challenge begin, and may the best team win!

Eligibility:

Must be an undergraduate from any tertiary institution in Nigeria

Prizes to be Won:

Winner - N150,000 and Internships

1st Runner Up - N100,000

2nd Runner Up - N50,000

Guidelines for Applications:

• Be a team of two - three persons, brearing a unified team name.
• Write a 2000-word essay on: "Rethinking Financial Sustainability Navigating the intersection of Finances, Social Responsibility, and Environmental Impact."
• Applicants are advised not to exceed 2000 words (References, endnotes and footnotes do not count.)

• All text shall be in Times New Roman, font size 12, justified, and doubled spaced.
• Plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
• Entries must be in English language.
• Entries should not contain team members names, but should only contain the team's agreed name.
• The top 6 teams will qualify to present on the day of the conference.
