This is an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates who want to build a career in Operations with one of the world’s leading multi-category companies.

The programme is a fast-track 18-month rotational Management Trainee initiative designed to develop the next generation of leaders in BAT’s Operations team.

Programme Overview

The BAT Global Graduate Programme offers hands-on experience across key operational areas. Participants will gain world-class learning, international exposure, and the chance to contribute meaningfully from day one.

Graduates will rotate through different functions including:

Make (Manufacturing) – Hands-on experience in the manufacturing process

Plan (Balancing Supply with Demand) – Mastering supply chain management

Logistics – Navigating supply chain flow and strategy

Procurement – Focusing on innovation, smart spending, and quality partnerships

Service – Understanding consumer needs and supporting global business services

Product Innovation – Collaborating with Marketing & Sales for innovative solutions

The programme also includes a two-week Graduate Academy (one week in London) where participants connect with fellow graduates and senior leaders from across the globe.

Eligibility / Requirements for Management Trainee at British American Tobacco (BAT) 

To be eligible for the BAT Management Trainee Programme, applicants must:

• Have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
• Have no more than 3 years of post-graduate professional experience
• Be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Possess strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Added Advantage: Previous exposure to operations, manufacturing, supply chain or technical environments
• Willingness for national and/or international mobility
• Membership in relevant professional bodies
