The association, through its national president, Comrade Aminu Habibu, issued the ultimatum yesterday, July 7, in Abuja, while lamenting the nonchalant attitude of the federal government towards the issues raised by the lecturers since the commencement of the strike on June 14, 2022.

They also expressed their frustrations with the constant use of industrial action by striking lecturers as the only means to press home their demands, saying it has become an organized crime against students’ careers and educational pursuits.

Habibu threatened that if the issues are not resolved in the next 14-days, the association will embark on a mass protest tagged, #BringUsbacktoourcampuses.

Furthermore, the students called on the federal government to immediately implement the N50,000 bursary allocation approved by the current government as an appreciation and encouragement for all teachers in making, and N70,000 for education students.

They equally called for the compulsory engagement of the NCE students in the Federal Teachers Scheme (FTS) as they are renowned, trained, and qualified teachers for basic and secondary education.
