ITF Graduates 80 NPower Trainees

Over 80 NPower participants have benefitted from a skill acquisition training by the Industrial Training Fund, ITF last March.

Making this disclosure at the weekend, the Director General of ITF, Joseph Ari said the beneficiaries were thoroughly and extensively gilled throughout the training period.

The ITF in partnership with the Ministry of Humanitarian, disaster management and social development embarked on training these youths according to President Muhammadu Buhari’s instruction of empowering the youths.


Ari who was represented by the Director Training ITF, Lami Dakwa said the N-Power built training programme is one of the numerous skills intervention programmes that has been conceived and implemented by the government to produce a core of skilled and highly competent artisans, technicians and service professionals for the public sector of the economy.

According to him, the effort and commitment put into these programme by the humanitarian ministry has transformed the life of many Nigerian youths across the country through innovative solutions and initiatives which is why we are witnessing this graduation.

He noted that the N-Power programme is built to address issues of youth unemployment which is an outcome of a hands-on skills training, collaboration between the institute of tourism professionals and the national automotive design and development council, NADDC and the Industrial Training Fund, ITF they are  to handle the aspect of this training these youths.


Of these numbers a total of the eighty beneficiaries were trained under the hospitality department in the art of baking and confectionary, catering, cookery and Housekeeping while others were trained in the automotive and mechatronic technology.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farauk the empowerment programme is very dear to this administration as this is just the first segment.
